Saturday night, several individuals were injured in Erie County, Ohio after a tractor pulling two haywagons drove off the road, causing one of the wagons to flip over. The accident occurred when the tractor's driver, 47-year-old Michael Hermes, drove off the right side of Patten Tract Road, causing the rear wagon to overturn.
Ohio Highway Patrol Troopers believe that alcohol played a role in the incident that left dozens injured, but Hermes refused to take field sobriety tests or a breathalyzer. Hermes is currently facing charges for OVI, aggravated vehicular assault, failure to control, and an open container violation. He was released from the Erie County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
