Ohio Woman Sued by Rescuers

In 2009, Theresa Tanner was rescued from a burning vehicle following a car accident by Ohio men David Kelly and Mark Kincaid. Lauded as heroes, Kelly and Kincaid now claim that Tanner was at fault for the accident and saving her left them with disabling injuries.

The men's complaint, filed in the Marion County Court of Common Pleas, alleges that each man has suffered damages in excess of $25,000. Kelly has claimed that the smoke and fire damaged to his lungs to the point that he is no longer able to carry a laundry basket up the stairs of his home.
